ABOUT CAMERON JACOB SOUZA

Behind The Music

Cameron Jacob Souza is a native of Fairhaven, MA. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Music Education with a Technical Mathematics Minor from Plymouth State University where he studied voice with Victoria Cole and composition with Dr. Jonathan Santore.


Mr. Souza was a member of the Plymouth State University Chamber Singers with whom he toured Arkansas, Alabama, Tenessee, Chile, and Southern California. He was also a member of the Plymouth State University Chorale with whom he performed Mack Wilberg’s Requiem at Carnegie Hall in New York City. Mr. Souza made his Plymouth State Theater debut in Les Misérables in October 2013. He is a member of the Christian Fellowship of Art Music Composers and the Latin American Forum for Music Education (Foro Latinoamericano de Educación Musical).


Mr. Souza currently resides in Curicó, Chile. He is a Music Teacher in Colegio Diego Thompson where he directs two choruses, a concert band, a guitar ensemble, and a recorder ensemble. Mr. Souza also teaches Freshman and Sophomore music electives.
